Former ABC journalist Nour Haydar delivered this difficult speech about media bias and the use of ‘objectivity’ to obscure moral clarity about violence.
Media bias and objectivity
Nour resigned from the ABC over its coverage of Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Nour’s speech is a savage indictment of media complicity in genocide and its endemic sensationalism. It took the ABC a month to get around to broadcasting this speech.
[The ABC still uses passive language in its coverage of Israeli contempt for human rights.]
