Kurilpa Commons has gardens, a frog pond, memorial trees commemorating loved ones, it is a lovely spot on the edge of Maiwar and should be preserved. The LNP government, it’s lackey’s, cronies in the development area, corruption within the department of transport and main roads have led us to the edge.
The time for advocacy and injunctions is over. So-called democracy favours the rich. Solidarity with The Kurilpa Commons! We publish here are report from the growing forward group about what is happening in Kurilpa.

The Kurilpa Commons is open again (unfortunately last night’s storm blew all the fences down).
Coffee is on, some people are getting stuck into turning the compost, some are gardening, and there’s others just enjoying the common space once more.
There’ll be working bees, film nights, reading groups and more on site this week – keep an eye out, or organise something if you’re keen.
If TMR returns to try to destroy our commons, we’ll call a red alert and ask everyone from the neighbourhood and beyond to make their way down and defend it together again.
Long live the commons!
